Not Long to go until the Race!
The race is coming around fast with 11 more days until race day!
There is still time to enter your car and be apart of this annual event, If you are contemplating the event and are a little daunted by 12 hours or your car just isnt ready or up to doing 12hours… enter any of the other races within the big race (1, 4 and 6 hour events!) If you are still going at the end just top up your entry and keep going!

1 hour, 4 hour, 6 hour and 12 hour entries are coming in as we speak so if you have been thinking of entering now is the time to do it!

0 -2000cc
2000cc and over non Turbo
2000cc and over Turbo
Diesel
Slicks and DOT rates radials are allowed

Drivers Wanted
There is a seat available in Motorsport Services Porsche 996TT if anyone is interested in competing in this event.
There is also a possible seat in a BMW E36 if any one is interested.
If you are wanting to enter but need another driver please let us know.

Extra Testing Session Oportunity - Friday 3rd August
Friday 3rd August there is a private twilight test (5pm - 7pm) being run by Motorsport Services Limited. The cost per car is $100.

Trophies and Medallions
Each competitor who enteres the race will recieve a medallion to show their participation in the event, so even if you dont win a trophy you wont go home empty handed.

Windscreen Banners
Windscreen banners will be supplied on the day, if you would like to have these sent to you before the race please contact us and we can orgainse this for you.

Cash Prize
If you enter any of the races you intantly go into the draw to win a $500 CASH PRIZE. This will be drawn at random and given on the day, all you have to do is start the race!

Fuel
There will be racegas and 98 available at the circuit and can also be delivered to your garage. Please contact us for pre-orders.

Tyres and Tyre Changing
Hankook tyres will be there with a range of tyres and full tyre changing and balancing available right in the garages.
Please contact Dave on 021 996 935 or dave@motorsport-services.com for prices and tyres sizes available. Hankook are a great tyre at a great price you really get value for money.

Catering
Catering is available at the circuit restaurant and a buffet menu has been set up so all you have to do is concentrate on the race!
On the entry form these options are avaialble, if you have already entered and want to purchase a catering ticket please contact us and we can sort this for you.

Breakfast $25
Bacon, eggs, sausages, toast, cereal etc
Lunch $25
Cold meats, salads, bread rolls, pasta dishes
Dinner $25
BBQ and a sweet desert

All three Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner $65

Accommodation
The apartments at Hampton Downs are nearly all taken so be in quick if you would like to book an apartment for the race.

Tickets
Each entrant receives 10 entries to the gate as part of their entry fee, tickets will not be issued but instead names will be listed at the gate. Spectators are $10 each with children under 12 free.

Garages
Pit garage allocations will be finalised soon, if you have any special requirements please let us know. Pit garages are $175.00 per car.

Transponders
Transpnders are available for hire for $50.00 each.

Documentation & Scrutineering 12pm to 7pm
Marshal & Rescue Crew Briefing 4pm
Endurance Drivers & Team Managers briefing 4.30pm
Testing 9am – 4pm
Qualifying 5pm to 6.00pm
6.00pm – 7pm Night Practice

Note: All drivers that are driving during the period 5.15pm to 9pm must practice between 6.30 and 7pm Saturday 4th August

We’ve hit the golden number; take a look at some of the cars that have entered the 12 hour Hampton Downs Endurance race:

There is the Porsche 997 RSR, this car won the Hampton Downs 12 hour last year and has also previously won the Dubai 24 hour race. We will be watching with interest!

Another international team will be joining us, they will be some of the first people to drive Motorsport Services new Seat Leon Supercopa! These cars are built for enduros and we are looking forward to what this car can do at the Hampton Downs Race Track. The team consists of Jeff Watts, Simon Piavanini and Mark Pilatti all from Australia.

Todd Murphy and 2 others will be competing in his BMW135i. This car has done the Bathurst12hour 2012 with Motorsport Services and also competing in the North and South Island Endurance Series. Main Sponsor is Murphy Buses Ltd.

There are a range of race times so you have a chance to win in the 1 hour, 4 hour, 6 hour or 12 hour race!

Hampton Downs 12hour 2012 Confirmed!

The Hampton Downs 12hour is confirmed and will be held on the weekend of the 4th and 5th of August 2012. The event is organised and run by Hampton Downs, The Historic Racing Club, and Motorsport Services Ltd.

Hampton Downs represents the newest and perhaps the most exciting circuit in NZ, the race will run from 9am to 9pm making an exciting night race experience for competitors and spectators alike.

Entry, classes and regulations will be out in the next week, but book this date in your calendar now!

Grids will be limited to 54 vehicles with 12hour entries taking precedence and then on a first come first served basis. The race will have 4 races in one with an option of a 1hour / 4hour / 6hour and of course the 12hour!

Endurance racing and in particular 12 hours are now regarded as being Premier Events. The Bathurst 12 hour is a great example, gaining a huge following and starting to rival the “Great Race” as more and more international drivers and their exotic cars take to the grid. These same competitors are actively seeking new venues and as a MotorSport NZ Sanctioned event the Hampton Downs 12 Hour Endurance Race ticks all the boxes.
